Paris Saint-Germain Coach Antoine Kombouare labelled last night’s victory against Nice as “tough”.
Goals from Nene and Kevin Gameiro from the penalty spot gave the Parisians a valiant 2-1 victory and a place in the top four of Ligue 1.
Kombouare believes his men made life difficult for themselves after an impressive forty-five minutes in the first-half:
“Nice always cause us plenty of problems. We made life difficult for ourselves after a fantastic first 45 minutes. We were our own worst enemy. We sat far too deep for my liking and let them dictate play. Nice deserved their equaliser.”
Nevertheless, the 47-year-old was delighted with the character on show to push on for the win:
Javier (Pastore) was brilliant in earning the penalty which saw us get the lead back. It was a tough win, given the way the match went. We showed a lot of character. We dug deep and fought hard and held on for the win.”
Next up is a trip to Montepellier on Saturday night.
