French legend Claude Makelele is back at the club in a behind the scenes capacity.
The 38-year-old has been hired in a consultancy role where he will work with the board in restructuring the club’s programme.
He ended his playing days last season and news on his new role were sparsely revealed last month. He will be making regular trips to the training HQ (Camp des Loges) to advice to academy and first-team personnel. He will also be given the task in recruiting young talent to deliver a brighter future at Les Rouge-et-Bleu.
Makelele told PSG’s official website:
“I am very proud to begin a new chapter in my career.”
“I want to help the club with my experience.
“It was an honour to be the captain of the team and now I want to contribute to this exciting project.”
He will earn around €100,000 per month and will also be the club’s ambassador for LFP and UEFA.
