PSG striker Kevin Gameiro is confident that his side can finally end a 12 year winless streak at Montpellier tomorrow night.
Hosts MHSC, find themselves two points clear of the Parisians at the top of Ligue 1 and have beaten champions Lille along the way.
Gameiro who netted the winner against Nice on Wednesday night believes that the team spirit in the camp can result in them taking something back to the capital:
“It’s going to be tough. We’re taking on a very good Montpellier side that will get stuck into us.” he said.
“But if we manage to keep the team spirit we have shown, then we can do something there. Every game is different.”
Meanwhile Montpellier Coach Rene Girard has described tomorrows clash as a “gala match against the centre of the world”.
The 57-year-old is fully aware, as the whole of French football, of the influx of stars that are making their way into the Parc des Princes:
“We’re playing a gala match against the centre of the world, or more precisely, the French capital.”
“It’s a timely match against a team that has made a huge effort in terms of recruitment. We’re in the best psychological condition to play this match. And we’re the leaders, so we’ll have to deal with that too.”
