In light of Peggy Luyindula’s recent comments to the press in which he publically admitted his distain at training with the reserves, PSG have released an official statement regarding the situation.
Released via the club’s official website, it reads:
“In response to the comments made by Peguy Luyindula to the media, PSG want to say that the decision to maintain Peguy in the second training group of the club was taken on the basis of sport. We know Luyindula is disappointed but PSG believes that this cannot justify the negative statements made by him to the press, which undermine the image of the coach and its management more broadly. “
“Peguy is an employee of the club and the club meets its contractual obligations to him, including the provisions of the Charter of professional football.”
As of now, no disciplinary action has been distributed to the player but it is apparent that his days at the club look numbered.
