English superstar David Beckham is set for a rendez-vous with officials representing Paris Saint-Germain’s owners.
According to Le Parisien, the Qataris will meet the 36-year-old tonight in California (US time) to discuss a move to the French capital when his contract with the Los Angeles Galaxy expires on November 20th.
A contract of a year and a half, along with a salary at least equivalent to that of Javier Pastore (between €4 and €5 M), is set to be proposed to him.
Director of football Leonardo told the BBC last month that he was keen to bring the former England captain to the Parc des Princes:
“The door is open for him.” the Brazilian told.
“Beckham is more than a football player, he is a brand, a pop star.
“We have built a good relationship when I was coach of AC Milan. He trained and played with the enthusiasm of a kid. He was always ready to listen, follow the instructions. For me he’s an example.”
Beckham has also been attracting interest from his homeland with Tottenham Hotspur and Queens Park Rangers all looking to gain his signature.
