There is an ever brewing excitement that David Beckham may just end up at Paris Saint-Germain and Jermey Menez admits he would welcome his arrival.
Beckham is approaching the end of his contract with the Los Angeles Galaxy and Le Parisien reported yesterday that club officials were due to meet him in the US later that evening.
Contrasting reports however via L’Equipe TV claim that no meeting was in place, according to one of Beckham’s advisers.
Nevertheless, whether or no that is true, there is definite interest from both parties with the player’s contract set to expire on November 20th.
Menez, who signed for the club from Roma in the summer has backed the potential transfer, believing he can add something to the team whilst influencing the younger players.
Speaking to RMC Sport, he said:
“Yes, it would be good because he could help us.”
“Especially since our squad consists of young players. We’ll see because I’m not coach or manager.
“But he’s still a great player and his arrival would be a pleasure for us.”
