Official: Jean-Claude Blanc To Become PSG’s New CEO

As 1970 PSG told you last week, Jean-Claude Blanc’s arrival at Paris Saint-Germain has now been confirmed.

PSG have officially confirmed the news that the 48-year-old will become the new CEO on October 21st where he will oversee the management and administrative side of the club.

“We are very pleased to welcome Jean-Claude Blanc, a great professional sporting world, whose expertise will contribute to achieving the goals of success that we have set ourselves.” Said Nasser Al-Khelaifi, the President of Qatar Sports Investments and the Supervisory Board.

Blanc will be in charge of all club activities except for sport which is overseen by director of football Leonardo.

He will be taking over from current CEO Benoit Rousseau who Al-Khelaifi thanked in his statement for all his efforts:

“I want to especially thank Benoit Rousseau for the very good work over the last three months as Acting Chairman of Paris Saint-Germain.”

The new CEO brings an impressive pedigree having worked with Juventus, The French Tennis Federation and ASO (Amaury Sport Organisation).

He was instrumental in the development of Juventus’ new stadium and left shortly after it’s completion.
