Wenger Gives Kombouare Backing
Arsenal Coach Arsene Wenger has given his full support to his compatriot Antoine Kombouare after reports surfaced he may be deemed as a possible candidate to replace him in the PSG hotseat.
However, the 61-year-old believes the Parisians should stick with his compatriot for the foreseeable future.
Speaking yesterday, he said:
“I have always encouraged them to keep Coach Antoine Kombouare. The officials never proposed me PSG. We often talked about PSG with them, but I won’t tell you more.”
Wenger also praised Javier Pastore who has been in outstanding form since his move to France.
“I like this player. He has talent, a form of natural elegance, and a mental elegance too.”
“I like him, I like him.”
