Wenger Gives Kombouare Backing

Arsenal Coach Arsene Wenger has given his full support to his compatriot Antoine Kombouare after reports surfaced he may be deemed as a possible candidate to replace him in the PSG hotseat.

However, the 61-year-old believes the Parisians should stick with his compatriot for the foreseeable future.

Speaking yesterday, he said:

“I have always encouraged them to keep Coach Antoine Kombouare. The officials never proposed me PSG. We often talked about PSG with them, but I won’t tell you more.”

Wenger also praised Javier Pastore who has been in outstanding form since his move to France.

“I like this player. He has talent, a form of natural elegance, and a mental elegance too.”

“I like him, I like him.”

Angelo Castellazzi Joins Backroom Staff

As reported by Italian daily Tuttosport, Coach Antoine Kombouare has been given a new member to his coaching staff, Angelo Castellazzi.

The 38-year-old Italian will work on tactics in conjunction with the Coach.

He spent six years at AC Milan from 2003 to 2009 and formed a good relationship with the Parisians director of football Leonardo.

Majority In Favour Of Beckham Arrival

France Football ran a poll on their website asking readers if they felt David Beckham’s potential arrival to Paris Saint-Germain is a good deal or not.

Out of 11,002 voters, 53% said yes, 43% said no and 4% didn’t know.
