Speculation has turned into expectation in the last few days over the arrival of Carlo Ancelotti as the new Paris Saint-Germain Coach.
On Tuesday, it was reported by RMC Sport that the Italian was staying in a Parisian hotel that was booked by director of football Leonardo – amid a meeting between the two men.
Le Parisien says that Ancelotti arrived at 12:47 on Tuesday afternoon and departed for London yesterday after meeting Leonardo along with club President Nasser Al-Khelaifi. There Al-Khelaifi outlined the club’s ambition to the unemployed Coach if he were to succeed Antoine Kombouare from next season.
With talk on this intensifying, if you assess the finer details, this could quite easily materialise. Leonardo has a strong friendship with Ancelotti having got to known each other intimately during their time together in Milan. He will come highly recommended to QSI who are still unsure as to whether or not Kombouare is the man to steer their project for the foreseeable future.
Ancelotti who has won four European Cups (two as a player and Coach) has been out of work since the summer after being dismissed by Chelsea.
Whether or not this is just pure speculation remains to be seen but the feasability looks probable. 1970 PSG will be keeping more than a close eye on developing matters.
