PSG Coach Antoine Kombouare gave his pre-match presser on the eve of this evening’s Ligue 1 clash with Nancy.

Coach, how do you judge PSG’s start to the campaign?
“I have the feeling we have the best defence in the league. We also have the second-best attack. Obviously after the draw against Bordeaux, we weren’t happy, but it was the last of seven games in 21 days. Some of our players aren’t use to playing so much. Last season, Gameiro was playing one game a week, Ménez was play one in three for AS Roma, Pastore said the other day he wasn’t use to playing every three or four days… But everyone judged our team on that one match. We earned a good point against an excellent Bordeaux. We know we didn’t play our best and we know where we have to improve. But when you look at our record, to have taken 30 points out of 39 is a great source of pride for all of us.”
What do you think about all the support you’ve received with all the rumours about a change of coach?
“I don’t expect anything from my colleagues because we all know this job. Obviously it’s nice. But at the same time, we all know the rules of the game. The advantage I have, is that since the very start, I’ve known what to hold on to. What’s happened this week is how the club operates now. We’re always thinking about the future. That’s normal. There’s more competition at every level, whether it be the players or for me as coach.”
Are your players ready for the Nancy game?
“For the last two weeks, we’ve been working very hard to get everyone ready. We have to be at our best on Sunday. We’ve done everything to prepare them. At any rate, we have plenty of desire to win, but it will take a great PSG, one that’s solid and takes its chances.”
