Reports circulated Thursday afternoon that Paris Saint-Germain Coach Antoine Kombouare had been sacked – a day after guiding them to the summit of Ligue 1 for the winter break. Hours later, the club released a statement on the Official Site that did not confirm or deny those rumours but have instead made things even more unclear.
The statement read; “Paris Saint-Germain and their first-team coach Antoine Kombouare would like to clarify that they are engaged in positive discussions, with a view to making a resolution that will protect both parties’ interests.”
What does this mean? Is it just a ploy to detract any negativity from the club? Or is QSI trying to make Kombouare’s imminent termination seem amicable?
Whatever the reason things should become clearer in the next day or two. 1970 PSG will certainly keep you up to date!
