Paris Saint-Germain left-back Siaka Tiene is on the cusp of glory as he and the Ivory Coast made it into the final of the African Cup of Nations yesterday afternoon.
The Elephants beat Mali 1-0 thanks to a strike from striker Gervinho on the stroke of half-time and set up Sunday’s showpiece with Zambia.
Tiene, who has been an integral part of his nation’s route to the final played the entirety of the match and was also booked in stoppage time for what the referee deemed as time wasting.
The Parisian faithful will be rooting for the 29-year-old on Sunday as he and his compatriots seek the country’s second AFCON crown.
Well done Siaka!
