Ezequiel Lavezzi’s proposed move to Paris Saint-Germain may be etching ever closer.
Director of football Leonardo denied last week that an offer had been made to Napoli for the Argentine who has been linked with a move to the club for the past month.
However, reports today in Italian news daily La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that a €26m deal has been agreed with the Neapolitans with additional add-ons.
It is no secret reinforcements in attack are high on Carlo Ancelotti’s list this summer and Lavezzi certainly fits the bill. He has spent five years with the Serie A club accumulating 48 goals and 49 assists in the process. The Coppa Italia victory over Juventus – the club’s first trophy since the Diego Maradona heydays – could turn out to be his swansong.
