Paris Saint-Germain have kicked off their pre-season with a 9-0 win over Austrian minnows Stegersbach this afternoon.
In a match in which the Parisien players never really worked up a sweat, plenty of positives were there to be taken.
Kevin Gameiro, who has been incessantly linked with a move to Spain the past few weeks, bagged himself a brace as six other players found themselves on the scoresheet. One of those was forgotten man Peguy Luyindula who was awarded a new contract back in the spring despite his troubles with the club.
Mathieu Bodmer, Sylvain Armand, Clement Chantome, Guillaume Hoarau all bagged themselves a goal as too young prodigy Neeskens Kebano who like Gameiro, found the net twice.
The win culminated in front of the watching eyes of new signing Ezequiel Lavezzi who joined up with the squad in Austria yesterday evening. He spent much of his time speaking to Diego Lugano and Javier Pastore upon his arrival before mingling with the rest of the team.
Les Parisiens will now prepare for a rendezvous with Russian giants CSKA Moscow on Saturday at the Stadion Hartberg.
