Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been ruled out of today’s game with Ajaccio after being left out of Carlo Ancelotti’s match-day squad.
The big Swede has been struggling with a foot injury that he picked up against Lorient last weekend. He subsequently missed the midweek loss to Brazil for his country and will not figure today either.
Ancelotti had said yesterday morning during his presser that Ibra was more than willing to play; “He’ll train today and after we’ll take a decision,” said the Italian. “The player is confident in his capability to play but I want to be sure that there’ll be no problem. So we’ll wait a little.”
Also missing from the group are Mathieu Bodmer, Nicolas Douchez, Diego Lugano, Siaka Tiene & Thiago Motta. Momo Sissoko is still recovering from his long term layoff.
Meanwhile, new boy Thiago Silva has been given three days off and will resume training next week.
