Paris Saint-Germain are getting back to business after the Christmas festivities. Yesterday part of the squad including the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic arrived in Marrakech, Morocco for the club’s annual winter tour. The rest of the squad which compiles of the South American contingent will arrive later today.
The lads have had a week off since their last game and will take the opportunity over the next few days to recondition ahead of their first competitive game in 2015 which will be against Montpellier in the Coupe de France.
Les Parisiens are no strangers to Marrakech having toured there four years back. The club has changed dramatically since then of course but QSI are keen to enhance the image of Les Parisiens in North Africa.
This will all be capped off with a marquee friendly against Italian giants Internazionale on the 30th December at the Grand Stade de Marrakech. New Inter coach Roberto Mancini spoke fondly of the French champions just before the Christmas break as he will face off against some of his former players. Mancini said; “It will be a superb match of football in a city that recently held the Club World Cup. It has all the ingredients of a great celebration of football. We will have the opportunity to take on Paris, one of Europe’s biggest clubs, and has a lot of old friends in their ranks, such as the Italians, obviously, but also Zlatan and Maxwell. It will be a great pleasure to catch up with them all again. It will be my first ever match against Paris Saint-Germain”.
