1970 PSG once again caught up with Simon Phillips who is the editor of CFCnet. The Chelsea fan site is a fellow Football Collective member and Simon was kind enough to give us his take on the first-leg three weeks ago as well as the upcoming decider tomorrow.

“PSG were excellent and deserved more from the game, Chelsea were certainly lucky to go away with a draw. But having said that, it’s been the theme of this season for Chelsea. Mourinho has us playing in a certain style where we’re managing to grind out results, he sets up strong defensively and makes us very hard to break down. Usually we’re used to teams sitting off us and defending but PSG really came at us and I was very impressed by them to be honest.

It will be another tense game at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea certainly have the edge being home and with the away goal but it’s vital that we don’t concede. I think we may see a similar story to the first leg, PSG will need to come at us as they need to score, Mourinho will keep it reserved and tight and look to score on the counter attack. I’d like to see us hold onto the ball more but the way PSG press and hunt down the ball is excellent.

David Luiz was awesome in midfield, told you last time he should be playing there!”

Thank-you again to Simon for taking the time out to speak to 1970 PSG.
