Good news! Paris Saint-Germain have not been drawn with FC Barcelona in the last-eight of the Champions League. The bad news is that it’s still a toughie as we come up against another English side in Manchester City.
You cannot be fussy when it comes to the latter part of this competition. Whoever you face it is based on merit and the pot is full of top quality sides. We can breathe a sigh of relief that we will not be facing the world’s best team again but this is still a tie to be wary of.
Man City may not be pulling up as many trees as they should at present but they still possess an immense amount of quality. The likes of Sergio Aguero, Yaya Toure and David Silva are going to be giving coach Laurent Blanc food for thought as he conjures up his action plan.
The first-leg – just like the last round against Chelsea – will be played at the Parc des Princes on April 6th before we travel to the Etihad for the return a week later.
